A method of treating drop seizures in a patient with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome, comprising administering to the patient cannabidiol (CBD), wherein the CBD has a purity of at least 95% (w/w), and the CBD is administered at a dose of 5 mg/kg/day, and then the dose is increased by 2 to 5 mg/kg increments, up to 25 mg/kg/day.
