Terex Corporation is a global manufacturer of lifting and material handling vehicles. The industries it mainly serves include construction, infrastructure, quarrying, recycling, energy, mining, shipping, transportation, refining and utilities. While it produces a wide range of vehicles within these industries, aerial work platforms make up one of its largest business segments. The company originally started as part of General Motors (GM) but formed after GM was forced to quite producing off highway trucks by the Justice Department in 1968.
