Hewlett-Packard has put over 20 years of research into quantum computing, and is focused on increasing the single qubit (quantum dot) capacity and distance over which quantum communication can take place. Their patents are focused on resolving the issue of computer entanglement, when a qubit is stuck between energy levels and results in a disrupted connection.
