In 2018, Fidelity Investments launched Fidelity Digital Assets to support financial services involving digital assets on blockchain technology. In 2020, Fidelity launched a Bitcoin index fund that raised $102M from investors. The financial services company is also preparing to launch a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) that would be more widely available.
