Netskrt Jumps into Edge Computing

Edge Computing Patent Forecast®

September 3, 2020

Netskrt Systems Inc. is a Canadian-based technology company founded in 2017. Named an "Emerging Rocket" in the tech sector earlier this year, they focus on expanding Internet access by developing their own mobile Content Delivery Network (mCDN). While they are a smaller company, they have jumped into the sector with 6 applications published on August 13th.

Perhaps most notable about their recent push into the patent space, the patent applications span all three categories of the sector. No other company that is as small as Netskrt is diversified in this way in the sector, generally this is something that only large companies such as Cisco and Intel have the manpower and resources to spread out across all categories. In a company that has less than fifty employees, this fact alone is an impressive feat. While they are unlikely to pose much of a threat to the industry titans in the sector, Netskrt is on a good track to be successful in their primary focus to improve video streaming with their mCDN.
