One of Novamont's core products, Mater-Bi, is being used for compostable packaging with Colussi's MISURA product line. The product line is packaged in compostable multilayer film made of Mater-Bi. The film provides a barrier against oxygen and humidity to improve the shelf life of products. The packaging is biodegradable and can be composted with food waste.  This comes only a few months after developing a new grade of Mater-Bi for extrusion coating and extrusion lamination on paper, board and other similar substrates.
