Ford Motor Company's latest patent application publication relates to a system that rewards drivers by detecting and analyzing driving behavior.
The system is able to function across a variety of vehicles, from standard cars and SUVs to even electric scooters! When drivers are engaging in safe behaviors, smart contracts are used to provide instance remittance of rewards using cryptocurrencies or company-based tokens. In addition, the system can also impose penalties if drivers are engaging in detrimental behaviors.
This represents Ford's 4th published patent application in the Cryptocurrency sector, categorized under the "Payment Systems" sub-category.
