What will you pay for a good night's sleep?

Consumer Sleep Technology Patent Forecast®

February 20, 2020

Smart mattress startup BRYTE was recently issued their first patent, which teaches a bed with integrated sensors to detect the sleep environment, as well as actuators and a controller to adjust these conditions. BRYTE also has three other pending applications for its bed and methods of controlling the sleep experience.

The BRYTE BED tracks a user's sleep and then makes adjustments to the sleep environment, including pressure, temperature, and motion of the bed, as well as room lighting and wake assist. Last May, BRYTE opened its first retail store, located in Seattle, signaling a desire to keep up with other mattress technology companies such as Kryo (makers of the ChiliPAD and OOLER), Eight Sleep, and Sleep Number.

There is a price, however, for including so many electronic components in a mattress. For the BRYTE BED, that price is $8,600. How much is your sleep worth to you?
