One of the latest published patent applications from Huawei addresses issues related to verifying a property of plaintext using ciphertext. These issues are commonly referred to as verifiable encryption problems (VEPs).
Huawei's solution makes use of a ciphertext containing an encrypted transaction value for a cryptocurrency transaction over a peer-to-peer (P2P) network using blockchain. This functionality combined with a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) from a computing device, resulting in a simpler and more efficient solution to the VEP.
