Procter & Gamble is using radioisotopes for IP protection of their diapers!  How do you protect a synthetic polymer made from a renewable resource? You determine the carbon14/carbon12 ratio.  Petrochemicals have a 14C/12C ratio that is about 1000 times lower than carbon products derived entirely from renewable resources.  So if you check your diaper, and it's made from renewable resources, it will have more carbon14.*  With this patent, Procter&Gamble has stepped right in it:  The Evolution vs Creation polemic. 

*Note, a dirty diaper will give confounding results.
