WUSTL researchers find a link between Alzheimer's and poor sleep.

Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have uncovered a link between Alzheimer's and the poor sleep usually associated with the disease. In one study, the group found that subjects with less slow-wave sleep showed increased levels of the protein tau in their brains. Future development of this technology may result in increased use of sleep monitoring in screening for Alzheimer's.
