a controller to access the tokens and distribute at least one of the tokens to at least one provider, the provider to provide a resource to the apparatus to execute the workload.

in response to determining that the terms were not met, request compensation from the workload scheduler; and

report the execution of the workload to a blockchain node.

accept a task from a workload scheduler, the task including a description of a workload;

access tokens included in the task;

execute the workload;

distribute at least one of the tokens to at least one provider, the provider to provide a resource to the processor to execute the workload;

access a result of execution of the workload; and

provide the result to the workload scheduler.

12. The at least one non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the at least one processor to: (0) (2)

execute the workload;

determine whether terms of the contract were met by the execution of the workload;

report the execution of the workload to a blockchain node.

18. A method of executing a workload in an edge environment, the method comprising: (5) (6)

accepting a task from an edge environment, the task including a description of a workload;

accessing tokens included in the task;

executing the workload;

distributing at least one of the tokens to at least one provider, the provider to provide a resource to execute the workload;

accessing a result of execution of the workload; and

providing the result to the edge environment.

24. An apparatus to create a task in an edge environment, the apparatus comprising: (2) (4)

a contract controller to access a contract request from an endpoint device, the contract request associated with a task, the task including a description of a workload to be executed on behalf of the endpoint device and tokens;

a bid provider to provide a bid to a plurality of edge nodes, the bid based on the contract request;

an offer controller to access an offer from a first one of the edge nodes, the offer responsive to the bid; and

a task controller to access the task from the endpoint device and provide the task to the first one of the edge nodes.
