CargoMetrics Technologies, a Boston based freight tracking and analytics company, is relatively new to the space but is already making a big splash. The company, which has five patent documents in the digital asset management space regarding load management, also boasts a partnership with Maersk that has helped bring their software online. Their software analyzes over 100,000 seaborne vessels to track global supply and demand, adding this data to an ever growing database of shipping information. While focused on maritime shipping, the company is poised to impact all aspects of shipping with its ability to analyze trends and help carriers optimize loads. On June 17, CargoMetrics announced a partnership with Fednav Limited, Canada's largest international bulk shipping company, to optimize Fednav’s dry fleet with an ideal distribution across routes.
