Landis+Gyr announced that it has deployed 20 million advanced meters and intelligent devices for the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO). This project will become the world's largest smart grid IoT network by 2020, which it is on schedule for. Close to 30 million utility and consumer devices will be managed by the Gridstream® meter data management system. Patent data further show that Landis+Gyr is using a voice-activated energy management system to handle energy consumption data.
