Ideal Industries, a 100+ year old company known for the production of connectors, hand tools, and metering devices, has been making a gain in the lighting industry. The company was just issued their third patent in lighting devices intended to minimize melatonin reduction. While still small in the industry, this is just one step they have made to grow. In March, the company acquired industry veteran Cree Lighting, signifying an even greater desire to increase lighting production. This acquisition should aid in Ideal Industries' ability to create a complete lighting solution. In 2015, the company launched Audacy Wireless for energy management and wireless control, notably with lighting in dynamic environments. It likely will not be long before Ideal Industries is rolling out wireless controls for these circadian rhythm friendly lights, and possibly even smart lighting.
