Sleep Aid Efficacy
A method or apparatus to improve sleep aid efficacy is described. The method comprises monitoring the sleeping patterns of a user utilizing a non-intrusive sleep monitoring device. The method further correlates the user's sleep quality and sleep quantity with use of the sleep aid. In one embodiment, the method adjusts the sleep aid based on the sleep statistics.

- 1. A sleep monitoring system comprising:
a non-intrusive sensor to monitor sleeping patterns of a user; a sleep tracker to correlate a sleep quality, and a sleep quantity of the user, determined based on the sleeping patterns, to use of medicine as a sleep aid; and a sleep aid control system to determine a recommendation for the sleep aid based on the sleep quality and the sleep quantity.
- 7. A sleep aid efficacy evaluation system comprising:
a monitoring system comprising:
a non-intrusive sensor to monitor sleeping patterns of a user;
a sleep tracker to correlate a sleep quality and sleep quantity of the user, determined based on the data from the non-intrusive sensor, to use of a medicine as a sleep aid; and
a sleep aid control system to adjust a recommendation for the sleep aid based on the sleep quality and the sleep quantity.
- 14. A method to improve sleeping patterns of a user comprising:
monitoring the sleeping patterns of the user, utilizing a non-intrusive sleep monitoring device to obtain sleep data; collecting statistical data, including the sleep data; correlating the statistical data of the user to use of a medicine as a sleep aid; adjusting a recommendation for the sleep aid based on the statistical data; and prompting the user to follow the recommendation to improve the sleeping patterns of the user.
