  • 8. An insulative insert for a shipping container, the insulative insert comprising: at least one insulative pad formed from fibers of a first material having a first strength, the first material including at least one of cellulose and synthetic polymer; and an inner layer formed from a second material having a second strength that is greater than the first strength, the inner layer being joined to the at least one insulative pad to form the insulative insert, the insulative insert being configured to lie flat in an unfolded position and to form a cube shape in a folded position.

  • 15. An insulative insert for a shipping container, the insulative insert comprising: at least one insulative pad comprising fibers of material selected from a group consisting of polyester, nylon, acrylic, cotton, polypropylene, denim and combinations thereof; and an inner layer comprising corrugated paper adhered to the at least one insulative pad to form the insulative insert, the insulative insert being configured to lie flat and have a cross shape when the insuative insert is in an unfolded position, the insulative insert configured to have a cube shape when the insulative insert is in a folded position.
