In May 2019, ChyronHego introduced TRACAB Gen5, the newest generation of the company's Emmy Award-winning TRACAB optical sports tracking system. It features significant improvements in tracking data quality and accuracy, a richer array of camera angles, and powerful new AI features for player, number, and color recognition. ChyronHego does not have any patent documents focusing on sports analytics from the last dozen years. Perhaps this release of its new product will lead to increased patent activity in the future, given that they remain active in the market.
