Smart labels are any type of label, tag, or adhesive that can be affixed to an object that is not inherently smart device. The purpose of the label is to connect the object to the network and/or other devices on the network. The tag can then be used to track object location, item condition, inventory, prevent the item from being lost, stolen, or tampered with, etc. The tag may also be able to connect the object with social media or other platforms to allow users to interact or manage the tagged objects.
