System And Method For Controlling Active Recovery Based On Detected Parameter

A shoe is provided for use by a user and for use with a communication device that transmits a blood pressure signal based on a detected blood pressure of the user. The shoe includes a sole, a force actuating mechanism, a receiver and a controller. The sole has a top surface for supporting the foot of the user when being worn by the user. The force actuating mechanism provides a force normal to the top surface of the sole and is disposed at the sole so as to provide the force to a plantar venous plexus of the foot. The receiver receives the blood pressure signal. The controller generates a control signal to control the force actuating mechanism. The controller further modifies the control signal based on the received blood pressure signal.

3 Independent Claims

  • Independent Claim 1. A shoe for use by a user and for use with a communication device operable to transmit a bloodpressure signal based on a detected blood pressure of the user, said shoe comprising: a sole having a top surface for supporting the foot of the user when being worn by the usera force actuating mechanism operable to provide a force normal to said topsurface of said sole, said force actuating mechanism being disposed at said sole so as to provide the force to a plantar venous plexus of the foota receiver operable to receive the blood pressure signal, and a controller operable to generate a controlsignal to control said force actuating mechanism, wherein said controller is further operable to modify the control signal based on the received blood pressure signal.

  • Independent Claim 12. A shoe for use by a user, said shoe comprising: a sole having a top surface for supporting the foot of the user when being worn by the usera force actuating mechanism operable to provide a force normal to said top surface of said sole, said force actuating mechanism being disposed at said sole so as to provide the force to a plantar venous plexus of the foota blood pressure detector operable to generate a blood pressure signal, and a controller operable to generate a control signalto control said force actuating mechanism, wherein said controller is further operable to receive the blood pressure signal and modify the control signal based on the received blood pressure signal.

  • Independent Claim 17. A non-transitory, tangible, computer-readable media having computer-readable instructions stored thereon and for use with a wireless communication device operable to transmit an blood pressure signal based on a blood pressure of a user, thecomputer-readable instructions being capable of being read by a computer and being capable of instructing the computer to perform the method comprising: receiving the blood pressure signal via a receiver in a shoe comprising a sole, a force actuatingmechanism, the receiver and a controller, the sole having a top surface for supporting the foot of the user when being worn by the user, the force actuating mechanism being operable to provide a force normal to the top surface of the sole, the forceactuating mechanism being disposed at the sole so as to provide the force to a plantar venous plexus of the footgenerating, via the controller, a control signal to control the force actuating mechanismand modifying, via the controller, the controlsignal based on the received blood pressure signal.
