Following its separation from Xerox in January 2017, Conduent acquired all of the non-digital printing technology and IP from Xerox in an attempt to sharpen the market focus of each of the technologies. Conduent's main focus within the traffic control space is directed towards a smart parking system that can be implemented by cities to manage public parking. This is consistent with most of its patent activity, however it is worth noting that its activity in the sector has significantly decreased since the split.
