Kia Motors is a South Korea automobile manufacturer founded in 1944 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Kia has recently been selected by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) as its partner on a V2X infrastructure along Atlanta's busiest highway, I-85. Kia will partner with Hyundai's HATCI to retrofit Kia vehicles with HATCI technology to provide users with the connected vehicle experience. Kia has patents related to methods and apparatuses for avoiding collisions using V2X technology.
