Sleep Number announced a software update this week that provides personal analytics for users of its 360 smart bed. SleepIQ, the operating system behind the smart bed, now lets users connect their sleep data to their daily lives to form a "Wellness Profile," which helps users get personalized sleep insights. Most of Sleep Number's patent activity has been device focused. However, recently the company's been investing in more metrics-focused inventions, mirroring Sleep Number's recent product launches and software updates.
