Samsung announced this week that the company is partnering with the Calm mindfulness app to integrate user data into the Samsung Health app. Calm raised over $88 million in funding this year. Calm does not appear to have any published patent activity, and Samsung's portfolio has been mainly directed to sleep tracking technology for its wearables. This week, however, Samsung appears to have a mind for expanding its coverage into more holistic sleep management and tracking by way of two new patent applications.
