Gentherm Inc. formally called Amerigon, is an American based company credited with creating the first thermoelectrically heated and cooled seat system for vehicles. Its system, originally designed for Ford Motor Company, is now used in over 50 vehicles sold by most common brand automotive companies. 

Gentherm has 20+ locations in 13 different countries. In the past 10 years, the company has acquired numerous electronic and temperature management companies, indicating the company plans to stay active in its sector. Additionally, the company worked with BMW and the US Government from 2011-2016 to develop a system of converting exhaust from a vehicle back into usable electric energy for the car, resulting in moderate success.
