Nonwoven Network Company had a patent application published this week directed towards biodegradable tea and coffee wrappers. Nonwoven is known for its One Earth® material. One Earth® material was originally designed for tea (including filters and bags) but it's also being used with CBD products. Additionally, One Earth® material increases porosity and water flow and reduces brew time, which results in a stronger tea. Allegedly, the entire product line is certified compostable in 21 days or less, 100% USDA biobased, and certified plastic-free. Not only can this tea bag create stronger tea but it has a minimal environmental impact as well!

No. 339,113, and Australia Pat No. 2016204391. This indicates that Nonwoven Network is heavily invested in biodegradable filters and bags and should be a prominent player in the future.
