Indiana-based Monosol, a subsidiary of Kuraray, has made their desire to grow no secret - and they are doing it well. The company is in the process of hiring nearly 100 employees for a new manufacturing plant in central Indiana, its sixth plant worldwide, to keep up with growing demand.
This week, Monosol was issued yet another patent in the biodegradable packaging space, its fourth this year and 10th in the structures and wrappers sub-category. This makes up the core of Monosol's portfolio and is the core of its business, in particular the production of pre-portioned water-soluble packets for products such as Tide Pods, sold by Procter & Gamble.
