Founded in Neenah, Wisconsin, in 1872 and based in Irving, Texas, since 1985, it has approximately 42,000 employees. As should be expected, technology development is mostly in mixtures/compositions and films/wrappers, which are being developed for the "flushable wipes" market. The knowledge base behind their consumer products technology positions Kimberly-Clark to create better biodegradable/compostable packaging for their products. It may be that a major solution to plastic pollution is not a new polymer, but faster-composting compositions, as Kimberly-Clark is developing.
