Canary Speech, an artificial intelligence based health startup from Provo Utah, recently received their second patent on speech recognition. The company aims to use automated language processing to provide medical services, including screening for conditions such as depression, a stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease. The company partnered with a large healthcare provider to analyze a 15 years’ worth of audio files in order to train its algorithms. Now, Canary Speech has partnerships with Quadrant Biosciences and United Healthcare/Optum to continue developing their software and bring it to market.
