Halo Neuroscience was recently issued its 13th and 14th patents to support its Halo Sport product, a neurostimulation headset intended to improve acquisition of muscle memory – most commonly in athletic training. Recently released was the Halo Sport 2, the company’s flagship product, which uses a twenty minute “priming” session to provide brain elasticity by providing pulses of energy to the wearer’s motor cortex before an hour long working session. After the release of the first device, the Halo Sport, the company went on to develop partnerships with athletes and teams in the military, Olympics, MLB, NBA, and NFL. The company has raised over $24 million to date, including a $13 million Series B funding round, and is looking into the technology for other things, such as stroke rehabilitation.
