One of the most recent partnerships in shipping logistics, Freightos and FedEx are partnering to digitize their operations. FedEx will get access to Freightos's WebCargo, which includes rate management, air cargo pricing, eBooking, and sales digitization, in order to provide instant global freight pricing. Freightos will incorporate the FedEx Trade Networks' customs brokerage capabilities.
This is not an IP-based deal, rather focusing on service. Freightos has only one patent application in this space, teaching routing methods. FedEx has just two issued patents which relate to tracking. Most of FedEx's IP relates to last-mile shipping information
