DisSolves is a food packaging start-up out of Pittsburgh, PA.  Seemingly born out of a frustration with the industry standard of protein powder packaging, the company founder has developed a completely biodegradable method for packaging drink mixes - simply drop the packet in water and shake. Currently participating in the hardware accelerator AlphaLab Gear, the company is looking to grow past a couple of initial supplement company contracts. The company recently published their first patent application, which may point to an opportunity to grow past one employee and more aggressively market their capabilities once graduated from AlphaLab Gear.
