North Carolina based Vinventions is an international supplier of wine closure systems and oenological equipment. Founded in 2015, the company has gone on to create many strategic partnerships and employs over 550 worldwide. In June 2018, they announced a shift in their strategy to focus on sustainability initiatives, and patent disclosures suggest they have followed through. Recently published but filed in November 2018, Vinventions has applied for two patents regarding biodegradable wine corks that do not use glue, and their related closure devices. The company has two issued patents and two other applications regarding these tools as well. As they expand their sustainable product line, patent applications and global growth will likely follow.
