On 4/11/2019, Greenpeace, a multinational environmental group, accused Nestlé of not taking enough action on reducing its single-use packaging. Given that it is the world's largest food company, Nestlé has responded to the pressure by vowing to make 100% of its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025 and to push the use of compostable and biodegradable polymer materials. Nestlé has few patent documents outside of biodegradable coffee capsules. Will this require future partnerships or acquisitions to meet their goal?
